I am very happy to announce that the PACS 17 Invitational will be held at the Pennsylvania Army National Guard Readiness Center in Carlisle, PA the weekend of March 11-13. I did a walk through of the facility last weekend and I think it will be perfect. The event will be BYOB, and they will be selling food from their kitchen. Outside food may also be brought in or ordered (from local pizza places, etc.). There are some divisions that will still be playing play-in matches on Monday Jan 25, so it will be a couple weeks yet before we will know all of the teams qualified to play in the Invitational. This Invitational has been “pushed out” a little farther than usual in an attempt to reduce the risks of mother nature causing problems for us. Teams that qualify for the Invitational will be required to have their $160 entry fee paid by Friday, Feb 5. Any teams that do not have their entry fee paid by that date will forfeit their spot to the next highest seeded team that lost their play-in match. The $160 entry fee will be refunded in full to teams as long as they do not forfeit MORE THAN 1 MATCH IN EACH OF THE ROUND ROBIN MATCHES that the team plays. This is a slight change from the last Invitational in which a team had to forfeit NO matches in round robin to have their $160 entry fee refunded. More details will be made available as we approach the dates of the Invitational.
